1. What this page is for
This Cookie Policy explains the small files and similar technologies the INFOHAS website (new.infohas.ie) places on your device, why we use them, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy (/privacy/).
2. Cookies we use
Essential cookies (always on)
These are required for the site to work. You cannot turn them off while you are using a logged-in area; if you block them, parts of the site will not work.
- Session cookie — remembers you between page loads once you authenticate. HTTP-only, sent only over HTTPS.
- CSRF cookie — protects forms (booking, profile, warranty) against cross-site request forgery. Required to submit any form.
- Magic-link token — used briefly while we sign you in via the link we email you. Single-use, short-lived (minutes).
Analytics (privacy-friendly, no profiling)
We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that counts page views and helps us understand which parts of the booking flow are confusing or slow. The tool we use does not set persistent identifiers on your device and does not build a profile about you. We do not share analytics data with advertising networks.
If you prefer, you can disable analytics through your browser's do-not-track signal — we respect it for non-essential measurement.
What we do not use
- No third-party advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No social-media tracking pixels.
- No "fingerprinting" beyond what is technically necessary to keep a logged-in session.
3. How to control cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings — modern browsers let you block or delete cookies per site. Blocking the essential cookies will prevent the site from working correctly.
- Do-not-track signal — if your browser sends a DNT or Global Privacy Control header, we treat it as a request to disable non-essential analytics.
- Account-level controls — your customer dashboard contains a toggle for retention reminder emails. See your profile page.
4. Changes to this policy
We update this page when the set of cookies we use changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest revision.
5. Contact
If you have questions about cookies on the INFOHAS website, reach us through your repair request, your customer dashboard, or via the contact methods published on the INFOHAS website. See also /privacy/.
